It’s Meet Our Team Monday once again, and this week we’re talking to Mrs. Jamie Terrill, administrative assistant at Aurora Elementary. Mrs. Terrell is a 2001 South Dearborn High School graduate. After graduation she went on to attend Ball State University.

We asked Mrs. Terrill who influenced her chosen career path and she answered, “The most influential person to me growing up would have been Norma Henke who was the head of SDCSC’s payroll department at Central Office. I remember working as a student aide at central office during my high school years. She taught me the value and pride in being efficient and diligent in all aspects of my work. Above all, she was always pleasant and sweet, an outgoing person even at her busiest moments. This is a quality that I hold in high esteem and strive to achieve on a daily basis.”

Mrs. Terrill says that she enjoys working at AES because of the students and staff. “We have some of the most hard working, sweetest, most amazing kids in the whole world. All of my co-workers are a blessing as well. I couldn’t imagine working for or with a better group of people.” She says that her hope for the 2016-2017 school year is to have the most productive and enjoyable school year yet.

When she isn’t hard at work at Aurora Elementary School, you can find Mrs. Terrill camping, playing softball, watching her kids participate in all of their extra-curricular activities, and watching shows on Netflix.

Her advice for AES students: “Enjoy every moment of your young life.  You will always look back on your school days when you get older with a smile.  Make the most of every opportunity that comes your way.” Thank you for sharing with us today, Mrs. Terrill!
