Meet Our Team Monday: Mrs. Lindsey White
Today’s Meet Our Team Monday spotlight is shining on Mrs. Lindsey White, SDCSC alumna and educator at Moores Hill Elementary School. Mrs. White attended Northern Kentucky University where she obtained her teaching degree.
Mrs. White enjoyed her time at Moores Hill as a student and is happy to return as a teacher. She said, “I love being back at my old elementary school. Everyone I work with is great.” Mrs. White said that as a student she loved school and knew from early on that she wanted to be a teacher. She went on to say that during her years as a student at SDCSC she had many great teachers, including Dr. Phillippe.
Mrs. White says that the teacher who was most influential in her life was her 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Thorpe. She said, “Mrs. Thorpe made a huge impact on me. I was very quiet and shy and she really took the time to get to know me.” She says as an educator she hopes to really make an impact on her students. Mrs. White said, “I want them to love school. I want this to be a place they feel safe and happy.”
When she’s not hard at work creating interesting lessons for her students at MES, Mrs. White enjoys spending time with her kids watching movies, playing games, and going on trips to new and interesting places. She also loves walking her dogs, enjoys running, and has even completed three half marathons! We hope you will join us in welcoming Mrs. White back to SDCSC.
