The district serves the 38,000 persons living in the seven townships that make up the corporation. There are approximately 3,000 students. South Dearborn’s professional educators and auxiliary personnel make it the second largest employer for the 156 square mile area it serves. The corporation operates on an annual budget of just over $25 million with buildings and equipment valued in excess of $75 million.
